Born in Byron Bay, the Bucha is a sparkling fermented tea full of tummy-loving probiotics and enzymes. There’s five fresh natural flavours made from all locally sourced ingredients.

The Bucha Process

Kombucha is a living health drink made by fermenting tea and sugar with the kombucha culture, known as a SCOBY – or Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast. The sugar is used up during the fermentation process so it’s very low in sugar by the time it gets to you. 

The base

We use traditional methods to steep our tea with sugar, before adding in our ‘Mother’ or SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria & Yeast). Then the magic happens.

Fermentation

We ferment our kombucha in a temperature controlled room to keep a consistent fermentation. During this time the SCOBY eats the sugar and increases the acid content of the tea, creating tummy-loving enzymes and probiotics. 

The blending

Once the Bucha is finished fermenting, we then blend with five fresh natural flavours. Then it’s time to bottle it so it’s ready for you to drink.
